Assignment 2: Group project - Marketing (30 min-60 min)

While each member of the group might upload the same content, you might add your own ideas or comments. (300-1000 words, upload to your blog)

Consumer Analysis

A. Is our product/service makable? How do you know?
Yes, coffee is.  Sushi is makable as well.  We need to support this by finding some case study or any online information showing how makable the product is.    We can roast our own coffee at the shop.
We can designate a space to make sushi to make it
B. Is our product marketable?  Yes.  Many people will come just for coffee and will buy sushi for snack or lunch.

C. What is the buying process? Retail, as a seller, our company get sthe profit more than having some other company to sell our product. Wholesale like Costco, our company to establish our way to get in and sell the product for us.  Online buying like Trader Joe and Safeway.

D. Who are the influencers?  One of the influencers we can use is our staff  giving coffee samples so the customer can try our coffee.  Once they try then can make  referrals.

E. Who needs the product and why? Almost everyone, especially college students, professors, bystanders, visitors from other places, and other workers from other side of downtown San Jose.

F. Is it planned or impulse buy?  Both.  For planned, those who drink coffee regularly.  For impulse buy, people come and visit and decide to buy as a gift for someone.

G. What are (or will be) the perception of our product? Taste.  The way that we give samples to customers will give them a chance to try our coffee has a different taste.

Market Analysis

A. Is there a market for our product? How do we know? Yes.  People drink coffee.
B. What is the market Size, growth, segments, geographics?  Unlimited.  Doing research such as googling the information , we can find out the size of the market in a particular zip code.  According to this arcticle,
Access to ram matching bonus (up to $250k on each personal) cost $599 $99 why javita makes sense Javita S coffee tastes great and is easy to share Javita S business is based on sharing samples …” (http://www.reportlinker.com/report/best/keywords/coffee?gclid=CKa8z8HtxqsCFWgZQgod0Ft_zg)

this tells how much people in this area drink coffee.

C. What are the trends?  In fact, some people find a way to substitute coffee with something else (i.e., tea, jamba juice, and red bull).  Some people drink coffee to keep them awake.  Actually, more people start drinking coffee when they receive referrals from others about how good our coffee is.

My business vision

It would be nice to manage my own business (the way I want), have my own office, relax on the weekend, and so on.  For now, my business vision would be designing a website for an organization during the weekend.  It is one of the ways to market myself, work for free.  It does not seem exciting but I know that the accomplishment is priceless.

In my vision, the business creates and designs a website for its clientele.  At a 500-employee business, I am sitting in the corner creating and designing a nice website for a client just on a one Saturday morning.  The deal is to work on clients’ website for 4 hours, one day a week, which I choose Saturday, so I can be free on Sunday.

The company consists of 500 employees, let’s say 3-story building in downtown San Jose.  It is about sixty-nine miles away from my home in Seaside, California.  The boss is nice.  I met him through Eric (Dr. Eric Tao).  All I do is to sit in one of the cubicles for 4 hours, to create and design a website for the one client I have.  Once I finish a website for this one client, I design another one, and so on.

I can consider the “no additional pay,” just for the mean time while I am looking for a better employment. Perhaps, one day it would be great if I may be considered to be hired by the company.  If not, I will do my best to accomplish the project for them.  Currently, am employed for many years, and I recently received my degree in Communications Design at California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB).  I want to do something towards my career goals and that is to be a successful persona in business management.
